Aaahhhhgust has brought some cooler weather and even rain, which is a perfect recipe for a Red Butte Garden visit.

Cheyenne Spirit Coneflower (Echinacea 'Cheyenne Spirit')

The Coneflowers have stolen the show along the boardwalk!

Echinacea-purpurea-'Pink-Double-Delight'-Flowers-HMS21.jpg

Pink Double Delight Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Pink Double Delight')

You may notice these dark pink flowers look different from the other Coneflowers. That's because they are double-flowered, meaning they have extra petals, thus making their cones even larger.

Hibiscus-syriacus-'Pink-Giant'-Flower-HMS21.jpg

Pink Giant Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Pink Giant')

In case you didn't get enough Hibiscus last bloom blog, this beauty can be seen along the Floral Walk.

Rosa-'HARwelcome'-Flower-Summer-4-HMS21.jpg

Golden Celebration Rose (Rosa 'AUSgold')

Don't worry, you haven't missed the Roses. They are still going off and this cultivar is arguably the best smelling rose in all the Garden. Your nose can sniff it out near the Pear Arbor along the Floral Walk.

Lilium-lancifolium-'Flore-Pleno'-Flower-Summer-3-HMS21.jpg

Double-Flowered Tiger Lily (Lilium lancifolium 'Flore Pleno')

Here is a double-flowered Lily! With its spots and many petals, this Lily has a lot going on.

Asclepias-asperula-Fruit-HMS21.jpg

Spider Milkweed (Asclepias asperula)

Have you ever wanted to collect Milkweed seed but can't seem to grab them before the wind does? Try putting rubber bands around the fruit!

We hope to see you in the Garden soon!
